こんにちは。

今回 Windows から移行して ubuntu10.10(64bit) の新規インストールを行い、
問題なくできていたのですが bluetooth のヘッドセットがペアリングできず
使用できていません。

hciconfig からは usb 側の認識はしているようなのですが、hcitool scan コマンド
からは結果が返って来ません。
hidd --search もデバイスが無い旨のメッセージが出るだけです。

公式にサポートしているものでは無いと思いますので動かないのであれば
他の案を考えますが何か調べるべき箇所がありましたら教えていただければと
思います。

私も全く同じ状況で躓いています。
デバイスを検索しても検出することができません。

自分の環境では同じ「0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)」を問題なく使用できています。
hcitool scan時にヘッドセットが可視状態(ペアリングモード)になっているか、もう一度確認してみてください。

また、Bluetoothのペアリングは、上部パネル右側のBluetoothアイコン->「新しいデバイスを設定」や、「システム」>「設定」>「Bluetooth」>「新規デバイスの設定」でも行えるので、そちらでも試してみてください。

パネルにBluetoothアイコンが表示されない場合は、「システム」>「設定」>「Bluetooth」の「Bluetoothアイコンを表示」チェックを入れることで表示できます。

ご連絡ありがとうございます。

可視状態（ペアリングモード）についてはできていると思います。
ヘッドセット公式のマニュアルも念のため確認してGUI、コマンドラインからも実施しましたがダメでした。

Windows もインストールを行いデュアルブートして Windows 側から設定を試みたところ正常にペアリングできました。
そのため、ハードの故障などによる問題では無いと思います。

bluetooth関連の再インストール、bluemanなども試してみましたが結果は変わりませんでした。

インストール時にUSBを差しっ放しでubuntuのインストールを行ったのが原因だったりするかもしれません。
難しいですができそうならばOS再インストールも試してみようと思います。

他に何かあるようでしたら情報お願いします。

マウス　　　M555b（Logitech）
携帯電話　SA001（サンヨー）

の4台の機器です。

ここでの質問失礼いたします。

私の環境で、ヘッドセットのステレオ出力とマイク入力の同時での使用ができません。
ハードウエアのプロファイルをHigh Fidelity Playback(A2DP)にすると
出力はステレオになるがマイク入力が出来ません。
プロファイルをTelephony Duplex(HSP/HFP)にすると出力はモノラルになります。（入力は出来ます）
これで、正常な状態なのでしょうか？
