お世話になります。

先ほどapt-get upgradeし、OSの再起動を行ったところ以下のようなエラーメッセージが出てOSが起動しなくなってしまいました。
一応、Passengerの導入も一緒にやってたんですが、upgradeの方が怪しく思えます。

エラーメッセージの内容はreadlineが見つからないと言われているようなのですが...
それ以前に、busyboxが出てきているんですが、これはOSが立ち上がらなくなったからbusyboxのコマンド使ってなんとかしろって事なんでしょうか？
この良く分からない状況から復帰する手立てはあるんでしょうか？

全くどうしたら良い状況なのか分からず困っています。有識者の方のアドバイスお待ちしております。(´；ω；｀)

マシン： vmware上の仮想マシン
OS： Ubuntu 10.04 server
