IEEE1394の拡張ポート2枚とカメラ2台を同時接続したい

悩みましたが、前者(↓)がいたので初心者フォーラムへなげさせていただきました。

現在、研究でIEEE1394接続のカメラ2台を同時に用いて処理をさせたいのですが
片方のカメラを起動させると、もう片方のカメラが切られてしまい、2台同時に画像が取得できません。
2つのカメラはそれぞれ独立したIEEE1394拡張カードへ接続されています。

一応、自分で調べて読み込めるようにはしましたが、これ以上は無理だと思い、質問させていただきます。
