今、ubuntu 10.04LTSにwiresharkを入れたノートPC上で、NEC WL300NCからRadioTapHeaderから情報を取得しようとしています。
すでにWlanカードをモニターモードで起動し、RadioTapHeaderの一部を取得することはできています。
しかし、取得できるデータに歯抜けがあり、例えばdBm Antenna Noiseという値が取得できない状態です。

このdBm Antenna Noiseという値を取得するために必要な操作がありましたらご教授願います。今回の主目的の一つで何としてでも、
ハード・ソフトを変更してでも取得したいです。

試したこと
wiresharkを1.27(apt-getで入る版)→1.67(最新の安定版)に変更/モニターモードで動作するが、目的の値は取得できず
ath9kを最新版(compat-wireless3.2)に差し替え/動作するが、目的の値は取得できず
ath9k→madwifi0.94(古い記事で動作実績がある)に差し替え/目的の値は取れそう(iwconfigにnoiseの項目が見える、カードのMacアドレスは取得できている)だが、ifupするとシステム全体がフリーズ(Alt+Ctrl+Del、Sysrq系コマンドにも反応しない)
