windows7 にvirtualboxのゲストOSとしてubuntuをインストールし使ってます。バージョンは12.04です。

基本的にいつもwindows上でubuntuを立ち上げて作業しているのですが，
ある日気付くとwindowsがアップデート，再起動され，ubuntuも強制終了させられていました。
そして，おそらくそれが原因でそのubuntuの仮想マシンにはアクセスできなくなっていました。
なので，webを参考に，新規仮想マシンを作成して，起動ディスクで既存のハードディスクを指定しました。
それで無事起動はできたのですが，ネットワークがつながらなくなりました。

起動時には，
Waiting for network configuration...
Waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration...
など言って待たされ，結局つながりません。

webを参考にいろいろ試したのですが，
sudo sed -i -e'/AVAHI_DAEMON_DETECT_LOCAL/s/1/0/' /etc/default/avahi-daemon
ではダメでした。
あと /etc/network/interface もいじってますがよくわかりません。
