Ubuntu１４．０４LTSをインストール致しましたが、ディスプレイの横にありますスピーカーから音が出ません。（windowsXPで正常に音が出ていることを確認済みです。）
私は初めてubuntuを利用いたします全くの初心者です。
同様の例を参考に検索をし、コマンド入力やソフトウェアのインストール等してみましたが改善することができませんでした。
PulseAudio音量調整というソフトウェアをインストールした後、MP3音楽ファイルををRｈｙｔｈｍboxで再生をしてみたところ、
ディスプレーの側面にあるスピーカーからは音が出ませんが、パソコンに向かって左側にある緑色の出力端子につないであるスピーカーからは
かすかに音がしておりシステム設定のサウンドから100％の音量を許可にチェックをし、出力を最大にし緑の端子につながっておりますスピーカーの出力も最大に致しましたら、
確かに音が大きくなっております。しかしプチプチという聞くに耐えない耳障りな音で再生されております。
（このスピーカーはノートパソコンの端子に接続し正常に音が出ることを確認しております。）
しかし,Pulse Audio 音量調整の出力装置というタブのポートという項目をアナログヘッドフォンに切り替えますと端子につながっておりますスピーカーから音はでなくなります。
なんとかディスプレイ側面のスピーカーから音が出せないものでしょうか？ご教授よろしくお願いいたします。

出力の設定、ボリュームの確認の項目
システム設定サウンドからミュートでないことを確認いたしました。

こちらに添付いたしましたものからディスプレイ横のスピーカーから音が出ない原因がわかりますでしょうか？
また緑色の出力端子につなげております、スピーカーの音の改善も可能なようでしたらご教授ください。
