環境　Ubuntu 22.04 on the native PC and the WSL2 (Debian 12 on the WSL2)
How to reproduce.

set terminal wxt
plot x
plot x * x

マウスでプロットウィンドウをクリックするまで plot x * x が描画されない．

なお，OpenSuSE 15.4 on WSL2 や Xubuntu 22.04 on native PC なら正常動作
どうも，Gnome が関係して要るっぽいです．

$ GDK_BACKEND=x11 gnuplot
です．
