リポジトリのダウンロードに失敗しました

Ubuntuで、ソフトウェアの更新をしようとすると上記のメッセージがでて、更新できません。
こちらの環境は、Ubuntu 14.04.03で、sudo apt-get updateの結果は以下の通りです。
main amd64 Packages　と　main i386 Packages　に問題がありそうですが、どうすればよいのか、よくわかりません。

エラーの 404 が出ているリポジトリを無効化、あるいは削除すれば
良いと思います。

ソフトウェアセンターからの場合は、以下のサイトを参考にしてみてください。
http://kakurasan.blogspot.jp/2015/04/how-to-add-ppa-repository.html

その他の方法は、
/etc/apt/sources.list ファイル内の該当行の削除、
あるいは /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ ディレクトリ内の
該当ファイルを削除することで解決します。

ありがとうございました。
ソフトウェアセンターの「ソフトウェアソース」の「他のソフトウェア」のところで、http://ppa.launchpad.net/kernel-ppa/ppa/ubuntu trusty main を無効化することで修復しました。

前回、対応後、しばらく正常に使えていたのですが、また、リポジトリのダウンロードに失敗するようになりました。
sudo apt-get updateの結果は以下の通りで、「ハッシュサムが適合しません」というメッセージがでています。

ハッシュサムが何らかの原因で適合しないことが時々あるようです。

いずれのソースでも、サーバを一時的に変更することで対処していたので、
変更してみてはいかがでしょうか？

私もhellfireさんに同意です。
国内のサーバをチョコチョコ切り替えてましたよ。
最近はやってませんが、tukuba、riken、jaist・・・適当にやってました。
