[解決済]gedit の印刷余白は変更できます

の記事を拝見して同様に gedit の印刷余白を変更しようとしたのですが、
その他のサイズ で作成した用紙設定では印刷そのものができません。
プレビューとＰＤＦ作成は可能で、設定通りの余白が出ます。

既存の用紙サイズであれば印刷できますが、余白がないため、左端の文字が欠けています。

ubuntu 12.04 LTS に CUPS 1.5.3 で USB 接続の EPSON PM-860PT を使っています。
ただしプリンタドライバーは Epson PM 850PT - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.8-pre1 です。

プリンターの状態 は
　処理中 - Rendering completed
または
　待機中 - Rendering completed となります。
(処理中, ジョブを受け付け中, 非共有, デフォルトプリンター)

ジョブは処理中"Rendering completed" で止まる場合と、完了する場合があります。

/var/log/cups/error_log には次のようなエラーが出ていました。W で始まる行は出ないことあり。

テストページの印刷 は可能で、
Printer test page - ubuntu のテストページが出ます。（ＣＤ８枚組のような）

CUPS を再起動しても解決しませんでした。

当方で分かることはこれくらいです。

なお、作成したＰＤＦを既存の用紙サイズ（所望より大きな。例えばＢ５がほしければ A4 ）指定で印刷すれば、
おおよそ所望の印刷余白が得られます
（所望の用紙サイズ(例えば JB5 )を指定しますと最下行の下半分くらいが欠けたりします）。
ＰＤＦも、その他のサイズ で作成した用紙設定では印刷できません。

何か思い当たる設定などありましたらお教えください。
