Synaptic≫設定≫アップデートの重要なセキュリティーアップデート（hardy-security)にチェックがはいっておらず、
アップデートしていない可能性があります。ここだけはチェックがはいりません。

gutsyからアップデートしたためにこういったことが起きたのでしょうか？
それ以外の「Ubuntuのアップデート」は普通にチェックされています。

重要なセキュリティーアップデートなので気になってしまいます。

　そうなってしまった原因まではわかりかねますが、チェックは入れるべきであることに変わりはありません。

# gusty からのアップデートは Hardy のリリース直後からいろんなトラブルが報告されています。
# 私もトラブルがあまりにひどかったために、結局データを sbackup でバックアップして、
# Hardy をクリーンインストールしました。

ご返答ありがとうございます。

伺いたいのですが、この「重要なセキュリティーアップデート」のチェック欄には他とは違い、
はね点ではなく横棒でチェックされているのでしょうか？

というのも投稿してから
deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-security main restricted web
というのをsources.listに加え、さらにそのファイルの中で加えたものを含め「web」の
ついているものは「web」部分を消しました。

そうしたところ今までチェックされていなかったところに横棒でチェックされているような状態に
なりました。チェック欄は他と同様に背景がオレンジ色になっています。

kiyoshiさんに教えていただいたように
deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-security main restricted
を加えたところパッケージ情報をダウンロードしている数が増えました。

　以上抜き出したところが問題です。gutsy つまり 7.10 のリポジトリが全て有効になっています。
　おそらく pcthemute さんの Ubuntu は 7.10 と 8.04 が混在した状態になっていると思われます。やはりクリーンインストールをお勧めします。

やはりクリーンインストールが無難そうですね。

クリーンインストール前にkiyoshiさんが提案してくださったようにgutsyをhardyに変更してみました。
しかし「重要なセキュリティーアップデート」は相変わらず横棒が引かれているだけでした。
ただほかのアップデートは６２個も出てきました。

そしてSynapticの再読み込みをすると以下のようなエラーが表示されました。
これは要するに/var/lib/apt/listsのなかのgutsyのファイルを削除すればいいということなのでしょうか？
