初心者サポートの方で題名が<Windows XP SP3でWubi 9.04 rev129が起動しない>で質問しましたmabuhayです。
お蔭様で無事Wubi 9.04 rev129はアドバイスのお陰で起動できましたが、WubiでUbuntuのインストール中に
エラーがでましたので初心者サポートの方を終了して、新たにこちらで質問することにしました。

PCスペックは下記のとうりです。
EPSON DIRECT Endeavor NT2500 (ノートPC)
Windows XP SP3
Intel (R) Pentium4 - M CPU 1.8GHz
768 MB RAM

本日インストール前にスキャンディスク・デフラグ済。

エラーまでの流れは
ubuntu-ja-9.04-desktop-i386.isoダウンロード　＞Wubi 9.04 rev129ダウンロード　＞
Cドライブ直下にWubiSetupフォルダを作成しその中にubuntu-ja-9.04-desktop-i386.iso＋Wubi 9.04 rev129を貼り付け　＞
Wubi 9.04 rev129Wクリックし起動　＞　設定画面を入力しインストールをクリック　＞　ポップアップダイアログにunpack tuple of wrong sizeが
出てインストールが中止しました。

追記編集：上記の後に仮想CD/DVDドライブソフトをインストールして仮想マウントでインストールを試みましたが、
同じくポップアップダイアログにunpack tuple of wrong sizeが出てインストールが中止しました。

解決策をご教授ください。

再びソースを検証してみました。
結論から言うと、wubiは対象のCDの有効性の検証のため、/./disk/infoから厳密な書式で情報を切り出そうとしているのが原因のようです。
そのため、予想と異なる書式を持つ場合に、エラーとなります。
書式は、
<名称:文字> <バージョン:数字とピリオド> "<コード名:数字以外>" - <サブバージョン:数字以外> <アーキテクチャ:i386,amd64> (<ビルド:数字とピリオド>)
である必要があるようです。
※なんで、wubi自体が落ちてしまうのかというと、ちゃんとCDが見つかり、infoファイルも存在している場合に、その内容が正しくない　というケースは想定していないためのようです。詳細を確認する人は/wubi/backends/common/distro.pyのdisk_info_reの正規表現参照。

もし、今回確認した内容が原因だとすると、wubiでremix版を使用するのは、私の手にはあまるようです。
# 名称が、「Japanese Remeix」が、サブバージョンにつながっていたら通ったかもしれません。

３．ubuntu-desktop-jaをインストール。
で、remin環境になるような気がします。

朝4時起きして、Wubi 9.04とUbuntu.com からオリジナルのDesktop版 iso イメージをダウンロードしました。
その後下記の手順に従いインストールを進めました。（1.の後に自動でアップデートマネージャーが起動したので
ダイアログの指示に従い、その後2.を実行しました）

結果は無事インストールが完了して、Windows XP SP3 とUbuntu 9.04のデュアルブートに成功しました。
Ubuntuから投稿してます。
本当にありがとうございました。

ただ一つだけ問題点が残りました。
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop-ja を実行後、コマンド内で自動で作業が行われ最後にexitで端末を
閉じ、次に再度アップデートマネージャーを起動して再チェックをクリックして5個のアップデートを
ダウンロードーインストールしたところ１個だけエラーがでました。
下記がダイアログに出た文字です。

W: GPG error: http://archive.ubuntulinux.jp jaunty Release: 公開鍵を利用できないため、以下の署名は検証できませんでした: NO_PUBKEY 68B5F60DCDC1D865

この解決策はどのように行えばよいのでしょうか？

それと今までWindowsオンリーでしたので、Windows = セキュリティ対策というのが頭から離れません。
Ubuntu(Linux)はセキュリティ対策としてはアンチウィルス＋ファイアウォールを導入するのがベターなので
しょうか？
某webサイトでセキュリティソフトは必要無しという記事を見たことがあるもので・・

長文になりましたが是非とも上記の問題点とセキュリティ対策を御教授頂けると幸いです。

アドバイスありがとうございます。
下記をやり直して見て端末およびアップデートマネージャーでエラーはでませんでしたので

ところに公開鍵をインストールするコマンドが記述されています。合わせてやってみるとよいと思います。

wget から始まって拡張子 gpg のファイルを取得し、それをパッケージ管理コマンドで登録させている２行。

今現在、JRE U13をダウンロードしたのですがインストール方法が？？？です。
考えてみるとOpenOffice 3.0(JREが入っていると思いました）が最初からUbuntu 9.04にインストールされているので
新たにJREをインストールする必要はないですよね？

公開鍵がインストールされているかどうかは
アップデートマネージャ→設定ボタン→認証タブで Ubuntu-ja Archive Automatic Signing Key と、
Launchpad PPA for Ubuntu Japanese Team の２つが確認できればよいです。
(これはソフトウェアソースや、Synaptic パッケージマネージャのリポジトリからも同じ画面にいけます。)

OKです、確認できました。
JAVA JRE U13はSynaptic パッケージマネージャーから新たにダウンロード・インストールして、
javaのサイトで確認し正常にインストールされていることが確認できました。
色々とありがとうございました。
因みにGufwファイアーウォールをインストールしました。
