When you add gCDEmu to a panel, its icon
            might be either a color or a greyed-out one. This indicates the state of
            the applet; when applet is successfully connected to the daemon, it is
            active and its icon is colored. When connection has failed for some reason
            or the daemon is shut down, the applet is inactive and its icon is greyed-out.
        The state of applet changes when daemon emits appropriate signal (i.e.
            when it is started or when it is properly stopped). Alternatively, the
            state can also change after a command has been sent to daemon fails. In
            this case, applet attempts to verify the connection, and upon failure 
            enters inactive state. This might happen if daemon crashes.
        


            If you wish to change the applet's icon, you can do so by manually editing 
            applet's icon_name G-Conf key. Please note that icon 
            name is relative to gCDEmu's pixmap dir (i.e. /usr/share/pixmaps/gcdemu).
