Vine Linux 5.0で印刷が出来ない

uesakaと言います、宜しくサポートをお願いします。　vine Linux のためサポートダメですか。

windows xp pro  とubuntu9.10　　Vine  Linux  5.0　のデュアルbootで使用しています。

windows    ubuntu9.10 でプリンターを使用しています。vine Linux5.0でもプリンターを使用したいけれど印刷ができません。

プリンターはEpson  pm-790ptです

ドライバーはAvasys  からvine Linux 5.0用のRPM 形式をダウンロードし端末でインストールしました内容を下記に貼り付けました

メーカー　Epson に海外の(pm-790pt)品番を聞いても教えてもらえませんでした。

宜しくサポートお願いします。

Vineのフォーラムなり Avasys なりに問い合わせるのが筋というものでしょう。
UbuntuやEpsonの問題ではないので。

英語のメッセージだと読まないんですかね？(メッセージの英語も微妙な感じですが)

メッセージの一番最後で、「設定を反映するには lpd を再起動しろ」と言ってますね。
決して setup を再度実行しろとはいっていないかと・・・

uesakaです　サポート有難う御座います。

初心者のサポートの下に　　Ubuntu/Linux初心者のサポートと記されていたのでubuntu スラッシュLinux を勘違いして　

ubuntu とLinuxに関して質問して良いと判断して質問しました、どうもすみませんでした。今後気をつけます。

私の解釈ですが、Ubuntuを使う上で問題に直面した、(他のLinuxは多少しっているかも知れない)Ubuntu初心者、もしくは、Linuxそのものの初心者向けフォーラムという意味ではないかと思います。

Vine(どちらかというと古いRedHat系)とUbuntu(Debian系)では設定ファイルの置き場所や分け方などから、パッケージ管理システム、パッケージ構成までいろいろ違っているのでここで相談していただいても、なかなか適切なアドバイスが付きにくいというのが現実かと思います。

もし、#5のgontomoさんの投稿にある、lpdの再起動方法が分からないのであれば、#1にあるようにやりたいことや現在の状態を明確にした上で、lpdの再起動方法をVineのMLなりで聞いていただくのがよいかと思います。
(前はVine使いだったのですが、Vineでの作法を忘れてしまいました。。)
