Ubuntu 10.04で、FOMA N905iを使う方法

Ubuntu 10.04を使っています。

FOMA端末をつかって、インターネットに接続したいのですが、N905iでつなぐためにはどのような作業が必要なのでしょうか??

また、N905iで出来ないのであれば、P702iDかN700iでは出来ませんか??

ちょっとググッてみたのですが、N905i でのインターネット接続の仕方がよく分かりませんでした。
ちなみに、Windows ではどうやるのかの、参考になるページ、もしくは、方法をご存知なら教えてください。
ヒントが見つかるかも知れません。

ハイスピードタイプを選ぶ→支払いプラン・プロバイダを選ぶ(契約)→ケーブルでコンピュータとつなぐ→インターネットを使う
で、機種を選ぶの中に3機種は入っていますが(http://www.nttdocomo.co.jp/service/data … model.html)、定額契約で、電話機としての契約と別になりますので、ドコモと相談をしたほうがよいと思います。その他、専用のケーブルが必要です。
やはり、データ通信専用のL-05やL-07などに比べると、スピードが最速に対応していないので、遅くなります。

外出先で、あまり速度は出なくていいので、3.6MbpsまでのN905iでも実用可能なので、これで行きます☆


質問の書き方が、イマイチ悪かったようですが、とりあえずFOMA端末をUbuntuに認識させる時点でわかりません…。

N905iは使用中なんだけど、これまで使ってみようとか思ったこと無かった。。。ノートPCじゃないので・・・

で、どうなるかやってみました。

まずN905iのメニューから「各種設定」→「外部接続」を開き、「通信モード」に設定。
携帯用USB通信ケーブルをPCと接続。

「システム」→「設定」→「ネットワーク接続」を開いて「モバイルブロードバンド接続」タブを開く。
「追加」ボタンを押し下げると、「モバイルブロードバンド接続を設定」と言う画面が表示される。
USBのem-mobileモデムとかだと、「モバイルブロードバンド接続を設定」画面の「このモバイルブロードバンド・デバイス向けの接続を作成」のしたにある
プルダウンメニューに該当モデムのデバイス名が表示されるはずだが、グレーアウトして「すべてのデバイス」としか表示されていない。

ダメモトでpppconfig走らせてmopera設定を行って、デバイス名を幾つか試してみたけどやっぱりダメでした。

やはりそうなりましたか…。

一応こちらも同じようにやってみたのですが…。

ですが、今まで期待を裏切らなかったUbuntuなので、いろいろ試行錯誤してみようと思います!!

確かに、N905iという機械が接続されていることは、認識しているようですが…。
いかにして、このN905iという機械をモデムとして認識させるかが、少し問題です…。

なお、「usb_modeswitch」は「usb-modeswitch」というパッケージ名でリトリポジ（標準＋mediabuntu）にあるようです。
