アップデート後に無線LANが・ ・ ・
先日、アップデートし（そのときに再起動を要求されたのでたぶんシステムの変更あたりかと）そのまま再起動せずにその日は使い続けていました。（もちろんネット使用）
そして今日起動してみるとなぜかネットワークにつながりません。というか子機すら認識していないようです。
子機：GW-US300mini2
OS ：Ubuntu 10.04のみ

自分にはこの二つに違いがあることしかわかりません。

のように、デバイスが追加されていますが、その後は

となっています。
読み込めません、 ドライブid -1が返っている
ぐらいの感じの意味です。

先日、アップデートし（そのときに再起動を要求されたのでたぶんシステムの変更あたりかと）そのまま再起動せずにその日は使い続けていました。（もちろんネット使用）
そして今日起動してみるとなぜかネットワークにつながりません。というか子機すら認識していないようです。
子機：GW-US300mini2
OS ：Ubuntu 10.04のみ
子機はhttps://forums.ubuntulinux.jp/viewtopic.php?id=8844をみて設定。
アップデートし再起動してはじめて新しい環境が適用されるので、アップデートしたけど動作しないにはあたりません。
アップデートの内容にもよりますが、kernelのバージョンが上がった場合や、メーカー提供のドライバ提供があった場合などでは
以前使用していたドライバで利用者自身がソースを書き換えている場合は、そのドライバを再作成しなければなりません。
今回のアップデートにkernelのバージョンアップが含まれていたと推察します。
10.04LTS(x64)において、GW-US300MiniSを用いた無線LAN接続ができない。ではソースの書き換えを行っておりますのでドライバの再作成が必要となります。

のんきさんのおっしゃる通り、kernelのバージョンアップが原因のようで、ドライバを再作成すると元通りになりました。
