Ubuntuインストールについて

お世話になります。
自分のPCの環境は、C:80G、D:50G、H:25Gです。
この50GにUbuntuを入れようと、雑誌付属のブータブルを入れましたが、
結局、サイトからDLと同じ内容。
インストールを開始すると、最初は、なにかのファイルが無いといわれましたが、
今は、Cannot unpack E:\wubi.exeとメディアの中にあるのにいわれます。

いま、一番困っているのは、インストールもできないのに、
Cドライブがいっぱいになってしまっていることです。

理想をいえば、DドライブにUbuntuを入れたいのですが。。。

お手数をおかけいたしますが、よろしくお願いいたします。

自分で回答します。
コントロールパネルのアプリケーションの削除で解決しました。
あとは、Dドライブへのインストールメディアからのインストール方法をご教授いただきたく。

初めまして。
Ubuntuのインストールには何種類かありまして、それぞれのメリット、デメリットを把握した上で、どのように進めていくのか最初に決めていただくのが良いかと思います。gakujin0217さんの状況に合わせてご説明しますと下記のようになるかと思います。

1. 現在、Windows上ではDドライブと呼ばれている領域を潰して、そこにUbuntu用パーティションを作成し、インストールする
[メリット]ハードウェアの駆動は全てネイティブのため、PCの性能をフルに活用できる。
[デメリット]ハードウェアドライバの導入に苦労するかも知れない、既存のOSとの共存で一工夫必要。

2. 現在、Windows上ではDドライブと呼ばれている領域にWubiと呼ばれるプログラムを使ってUbuntuを導入する。

参照願います。
[メリット]ほとんどのハードウェアを通常のインストールしたとき同様に扱うためPCの性能をほぼ活用できる。既存のOSとの共存についてはwubiが自動的に設定してくれるため、インストールはしやすい。
[デメリット]Windowsのファイルシステム上に仮想HDDファイルを作成して利用するため、ディスクアクセスは若干遅い目となる。Windowsのファイルシステムに異常が発生すると巻き添えで起動できなくなるかも知れない。仕組みとしては複雑なので、なにかトラブルが起きたときに対処が難しいこともある。

3. Windows上に仮想マシンを導入し、仮想環境の中での使用。
[メリット]ドライバなどで悩むことはまずない。既存OSの起動に支障を来たす可能性は無い。スナップショット機能などを使えば、異常発生時に簡単に正常だった状態に戻すことができる。
[デメリット]メモリはホストOSと分け合うことになるので余裕がある必要がある。ハードウェア駆動は仮想環境ソフト越しなので、遅い目になる可能性が高い。ただし、仮想環境ソフトの出来によるところが大きい。

なお、もしWindowsの使用をメインに考えているのであれば、おすすめは仮想環境です。

お世話になります。
上記2にて、インストール成功いたしました。
ですが、Ubuntu normal mode起動にて、画面が10分以上ロックします。
safe garaphic modeだと使えます。
このままsafe garaphic modeを使うべきでしょうか?

wubiでインストールされたのですね。

状況から判断すると、単純にハードに合ったグラフィックドライバが上手く割り当てられていないので、
上部パネルの「システム」→「システム管理」→「ハードウェア・ドライバ」を起動するとメーカーが提供するドライバが存在する場合は検出してインストールしてくれます。

もし検出されなければ「何故ドライバが上手く当たらないのか」を調べなければいけません。
お使いのPCの製品名からカタログスペックを調べて、使用されているグラフィック周りの情報が必要です。

ハードウェアの認識に関連した問題が起きている可能性が高いと思われますので、使用機器のできるだけ詳細な型式(メーカ製PCの場合はメーカ名、および、メーカ型式、組立PCの場合は、各パーツの型式をできるだけ詳しく)を投稿願えますでしょうか。
また、「端末」を開いて下記を実行した際の出力も投稿願えますでしょうか。

念の為の確認ですが、起動時にRecoveryと付記されたカーネルで起動し、failesafe graphic modeで起動した場合は、十数秒から長くてもせいぜい2、3分で起動する、という理解でよろしいでしょうか。

あ、被った。。

すみません。hir0さんの投稿を見て、肝心なことを思い出しました。
まず、システムを最新の状態に更新してみてください。

hir0さんが書かれたように、プロプライエタリなドライバが利用可能と表示されれば、それを導入するのも手です。

さらにUbuntuのバージョンを聞き忘れていました。バージョンもご連絡下さい。
もしバージョンがよく判らない等ありましたら、

で確認してみて下さい。

safe graphic modeにて、recommendのNVIDIAドライバを入れましたが、
normal modeでは、ログイン画面らしきものが、白抜きになり、フリーズです。
おそらく、safe graphic mode のRun Unbuntu just one sessionのためと思われます。

メーカーは、SOTEC
型式は、N15WMT02A

起動時は特に目立った時間遅延もなく、20秒ほどで処理を完了しているようですね。
セーフモードで問題無しとのことを考えても、やはり一番怪しいのはグラフィックドライバ周りだと思うのですが、
1. システムの更新(不具合修正などアップデートの適用)
2. プロプライエタリドライバの導入
両方で効果無しとの認識でよろしいでしょうか。

一方で、

現在の状況についてですが、プロプライエタリドライバ導入済で、通常モードでUbuntuを起動するとフリーズする状態でしょうか。
また、セーフグラフィックモードであれば正常に起動しますでしょうか。

にて、ログイン画面までいきましたが、その後、WindowsXP sp3と行き来しているうちに、
normal modeのログイン画面が白抜きでフリーズ状態です。

現在の状況がよくわからなくなっていますので、前回までにどのような操作をしたのか、その結果どのように状態が変わったのかを時系列にそって説明願えますでしょうか。

また、現在、なんらかの方法でログインすることは可能でしょうか。例えばfailesafeならログインできるとか。できる場合は下記の実行結果も投稿願えますでしょうか。

アップデート適用後、normal modeでの起動はどのような状態でしょうか。
ログイン画面の下にキーボードを選択する項目があったかと思いますが、そこが実際のキーボードレイアウトと不整合であったりしないか確認してみて下さい。

上記のNVidiaのドライバなど、企業(など)が権利をもつ非オープンソースソフトウェアのことをプロプライエタリと呼びます。
NVidiaのドライバを導入したということはすでにプロプライエタリドライバを導入済みということになります。

下記のように訂正します。

ログが無いというのはおかしいですね。もしかしたらファイル名が異なっているのかも。
ファイルブラウザで/var/logを開いて、一番新しい、ファイル名がXorgで始まるファイルの内容を投稿いただけますでしょうか。

やはりnouveauというオープンソースドライバが読み込まれている気配がありますね。
しかしながら、ログファイルはセーフモードで起動したときのログだったため正確なところはわかりませんが。。

ちょっとファイル名の付き方がどうなるのか正確なルールを知らないため、ファイル名での指定をしかねるのですが、NormalModeで起動して起動に失敗したときと思われるログファイルを見つけることはできますでしょうか。ファイル作成/更新の日付が目安になるかと思います。

また、セーフモードで起動して、NVidiaドライバがインストールされているか、今一度確認してみて下さい。
インストールされていること自体は確実であれば、nouveauをblacklistしてみるというのを試してもよいかもです。

その前にセーフモードでログインできる状態に戻さなくてはなりませんが、ログインはできるようになっていますでしょうか。

いつもクリックレスポンスありがとうございます。

NormalModeで起動して起動に失敗したときと思われるログファイルを見つけることはできません。

また、NVidiaドライバがインストールされているか、今一度確認してみてみましたが、one time modeなので、
やはりアクティブにはなっていませんでした。

セーフモードではログインできます。

この件、いろいろとおせわになりましたが、3Dを扱いたい訳でもないので、
セーフモード利用でクローズにさせていただきたいと思います。

ずぶの素人にお付き合いくださり、まことにありがとうございました。

お力になれず、申し訳ありません。。
2Dだけの使用でも、セーフモードではハードウェアによる支援が全く得られないため、画像再生などのパフォーマンスも低下します。
ちゃんとドライバを導入できればいろいろ速くなるはずなので、また、気が変わることがありましたら、最新の情報、それまでに更新された情報などを投稿下さい。
根本的にはnouveauドライバでも2Dぐらいは支援が効かなくてはおかしい(バグ)と思われるため、しばらく待っていればアップデートで正常に起動できるようになるかも知れません。アップデートされるパッケージを注意して見ておいて、nouveau関連のパッケージが更新されたらまた試してみて下さい。
