Ｕｂｕｎｔｕ10.10で、イーマシンJ3234の有線LANが認識しない

すみません、質問させていてだきます。
昨日からイーマシンJ3234に、デュアルブートでWindowsXPとUbuntu10.10をインストールしました。
もちろん、Windowsでは問題ないのですが、Ubuntuでブートさせると、
有線LANが認識されず困ってます・・・
一応無線LANは動かす事に成功しているのでネットは繋がるのですが・・・
ifconfigコマンドでも、まったく有線LANが認識している様子はありません。
たぶん、ドライバをインストールしないといけないと思うのですが、
どのドライバをどのようにインストールすればいいのかわかりません
よろしくお願いします。

とりあえず、判る範囲でハードウェアの型式情報(オンボードならマザーボード、別体ならNICの型式)と、

コード:

lspci -v
lspci -n

の結果を投稿してみて下さい。
念の為の確認ですが、ifconfigは確実にNICが認識されていない(loと無線NICしか表示されない)ということでよろしいでしょうか。

hmatsueさん、お返事ありがとうございます。
ifconfigの結果は、loと、無線のwlan1の２つしか表示されていません・・・
LANはオンボードの物を使用しようとしていて、RJ-45コネクタ×1 (インテル® PRO 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN)です
その他スペックが、http://www.tsukumo.co.jp/emachines/j3234.html
メモリの増設以外は何も手をいれてません

リンク先の仕様を確認しましたが、ハードウェア型式が特定できる情報は無いようでした。。

唯一、それらしいかな、と思えるものが上記ぐらいなのですが、ググってみた感触ではモデムのような気もします。
しかし、そうなるとLANデバイスが全く認識されていないことになるので、ちょっとどうなんだろう、というところですね。
Windowsでは使えているとのことなので多分大丈夫だとは思うのですが、念のためBIOSでオンボードのLANが無効になっていないか確認してみて下さい。
また、マザーボードの型式などがとれるかも知れないので、

コード:

sudo lshw

の結果を投稿いただけますでしょうか。

hmatsueさん、いろいろありがとうございました。
結果から申しますと、どうやらLANが壊れてしまっているようです・・・
昨日、Ubuntuを入れるまでは繋がっていたのに、
突然のお迎えで、ぜんぜん気づきませんでした
BIOSで無効になっていないか調べようと再起動した時に、
そのままWindowsが立ち上がってしまい、その時にLANがWindowsでも無くなっている事に気づきました
明日LANボード買ってきて、また挑戦します。

本当に親切にいろいろ調べてアドバイスいただきありがとうございました。

タイミングが悪かったですね。。
LANボードは特になにもしなくても動くものがほとんどですが、ある程度型式を絞り込んでおいて、Ubuntuでの動作不具合情報などが無いか調べておくことをおすすめします。
