超初心者です。

を参照しながら、

1.「 Ubuntu 7.10 日本語ローカライズ版 Desktop CD 」 をCDに焼き、それでPCを起動する。
  →起動

2.USB-Flash に 「 Ubuntu 7.10 」 をインストールする。( すでにインストール済みならば、3. へ )
　インストール法は、「InstallingOnUSBFlash - Desktop CDをUSBメモリにイ ンストールする」 。
　→１のＣＤで起動したUbuntuのデスクトップ画面にあるインストールアイコンをクリックし
　　　１ＧＢのＵＳＢメモリーにインストしました。
　　　これでよいのでしょうか？それとも別の方法でしょうか？

3.USB-Flash をマウントする。
  →２でインストールしたＵＳＢをマウント

4.その「起動パーティション」の mount-point を /media/disk とする。
　→これは、次の５のスクリプトファイルの前説明でしょうか？

5./home/ubuntu に スクリプトファイル boot-uf.sh を作成し、以下の９行を書き込んで保存する。
　→ＷＥＢ上からコピペしておいた
　　mount-point は、/media/disk で良さそう

6.スクリプトファイル boot-uf.sh を実行する。
　→端末　から実行したところ次のメッセージ
To run a command as administrator (user "root"), use "sudo <command>".

もとシェルの５行目あたりから止まった？ようですが、どこがいけなかったのでしょうか？
