昨日からLinuxをはじめた初心者です。

youtubeやニコニコ動画では普通に音が出て、インジケーターアプレットのサウンド設定欄でも音量をコントロール出来るのですが、ノートPCのヘッドフォン出力端子の隣についているボリュームダイヤルを動かすと、少ししか動かしていないにもかかわらず、まるで永遠とダイヤルを回し続けているようにインジケーターアプレットが反応し、音量が0かMAXにしかなりません。
さらにその最中では、画面に表示しているwindowは×ボタンをクリックし閉じることが出来るのですが、
パネル欄がクリックできなくなり、”システム”のボタンや”電源”のボタンを押すことが出来なるなります。
右クリックもできません。
キーボードの操作もできません。
CTRL + ALT + DEL で再起動すると、元の状態に戻り、ボリュームダイヤルを触らない限り操作に支障はないのですが、気持ち悪いので、アドバイスをいただけないかと思い投稿しました。

http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Vendor-Intel　にて、Chipset が対応していないのが原因のような気がするのですが、どうすれば良いのか分かりません。
