キーボード表記とモニター表示一致しない

Ubuntu12.04Amd64でアルファ版、ベータ版、正式版何れにおいても記号がキボード表記とモニター表示が一致しない現象に遭遇し困惑しております。
「」内左がキボード右がモニターになります。
「"→@」,    「&→^」,
「'→&」,     「(→*」,
「)→(」,      「を→)」,
「=→_」,　「~→+」,
「^→=」,　「`→{」,
「@→[」,　「{→}」,
「}→|」,  　「]→\」,
「*→"」, 　「:→;」,
「+→:」
Ubuntu11.10Amd64ではこの現象はありません。また12.04の各版共クリーンインストールでアップデート、アップグレードもしていません。

これらを回避出来る方法等ありましたら、ご教示してください。現在の回避策として電源ON起動後直ぐログアウトログインすれば正常になるので、それで
凌いでおります。

キーボードの設定が日本語（OADGでしたっけ？）ではなく、英語キーボードになっているような気がします。

本日改めて11.10（Amd64）「Linux3.0.0-12-generic」と12.04（Amd64）「Linux3.2.0-24-generic」をクリーンインストールしてみた結果ですが、11.10では正常、12.04では異常状態です。
これは修正を待つしか方法はないのでしょうか？？

まず、12.04で右上の歯車をクリックしてシステム設定を開いて「キーボードレイアウト」を開くと左側に何が出ていますか？
そこに「日本語」と出ていますか？

その「日本語」を選択して、白枠の下にある＋、ー、^、↓（これは下の矢羽根だけです）、□の中に点、があるアイコンの「□の中の点」をクリックするとレイアウトが出てくるのですがそれは使用しているキーボードのキートップ刻印と同じですか？
また「すべてのウィンドウで同じレイアウトを使う」にチェックは入っていますか？

キーボードを表示画面の実際のキボードに一部相違があります。数字の0に日本語のを・わが刻印されていること、BackSpaceキーが半分になり左側に｜と￥が刻印されたキーが存在します。
もう1個スラシュキーの右側にバックスラシュキーが存在します。

その表示が普通の日本語１０９と呼ばれている物なので、お使いになっているキーボードが違うのかもしれません。(機種を聞けば良かったかもしれません）
その「日本語」と出ている下の＋を押すと各種キーボードレイアウトが出てきます。下の方に日本語の物があり、選択してプレビューボタンをクリックするとキーボードレイアウトが出てきますのでご自分を物と同じ物を探してみてください。

アドバイス有難う御座います。
ご指摘の内容を確認しましたが、日本語と表記されている中には同一のものは存在していません。使用しているPCはDELLのPrecisionT5500で純正のキーボードでは正常ですが、同じ配列のロジクールのワイヤレスキーボードで発生している状況です。
ただ、前記しましたように、11.10ではなんら問題なく動作していました。
12.04がリリース間も無いので日本語入力機能も不安定なので、少しずつ改善されるのに期待することにします。

Xorg.0.logの中に 「”Xkb_model""Jp105"」というのを発見　端末から「setxkbmap jp -model jp106」を実行すれば、正常に機能するようになりました。
