ubuntuが頻繁にフリーズするので原因を探りたい

いつもお世話になっております。

SONYのVAIO SVT13でubuntu 12.04 LTS 日本語 Remixを使用しているのですが、かなり頻繁にフリーズを起こします。かなり新しいハードウェアなので仕方ないことではあると思うのですが、出来る事ならどのハードウェアが原因なのか、なぜフリーズしてしまうのかなどを突き止めたいと考えました。

そこで、フリーズを起こした原因を教えていただきたいのですが、それに加えてこのような場合にはどのように探りを入れていくものなのか、その考え方についてもご教授頂きたいです。

以下にhwinfoの結果と/var/log/kern.logのフリーズを起こした近辺を貼ります。

T13のハードウエアの異常をお疑いなら、Windowsでチェック機能がありますね。
実行してみました？

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz, 800 MHz

Ubuntu12.04 で使われている linux-3.2 と IvyBridge では内蔵GPU に負荷をかけるとフリーズするらしいです。
これは対策されているらしいので Ubuntu12.10 で直っている可能性が高いです。

また自分のPC (AMD CPU) でもそうですがフリーズしてから「内部エラーが発生・・・」の表示もありますが、これは知りません。
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
でアップデートしていって最近はあまり見なくなったのでこれを実行してみてはいかがでしょうか？

funatogawaさん、ご返信ありがとうございます。
Windows側でハードウェアのチェックをしましたところ、特に異常は見つかりませんでした。
Windowsでは正常に動作しているので、ハードウェアそのものの異常ではないのかもしれません。

makopiさん、ご返信ありがとうございます。
確かに高付加をかけた際にフリーズを起こします。それが原因の可能性が高そうですね。
一度12.10のalpha版を入れて様子見したいと思います。

ちょっと待ってください。
今の段階では Ubuntu12.10 は開発途中のテスト版ですので通常使用ではおすすめできません。（2012年10月リリース予定です。）
VAIO がテスト用マシンだったら良いのですが。
それに Beta1 になっている様です。
