なにか調べ間違いや、漏れがありましたら

M/Bの型式の調べ方がわからなくて
ＰＣの外側に貼ってるそれっぽいのを書きましたが
あってるのかわからなかったので
ソフトウェアを使って調べてみたところ
ソフトウェアがなかなか見つからなくて
中国のやつをひとつ見つけたのですが

お返事ありがとうございます。
解像度を調べて見たところ
1024x768になっていました。
とりあえず大きい奴に変更する方法を調べて
やって見たところ
無の部分を現象されて
ほぼ画面いっぱいに表示出きるようになりました。
どうやら解像度の問題だったようです。
でも確かに言われてみると
あるはずの解像度がないのは不思議なのでしらべておきました。
端子の方は、解像度変えるときに、調べて見た結果
LVDS１で変えても一時的なもので
LVDS１の設定をgdmのDefaultに書き加えて
PCを再起してみた結果
結局もとの解像度に戻ってしまいました。
そこでもしかしたらVGA１が優先されてるのではないか
（PCの解像度設定画面でも
　1024x768       60.0*
   800x600        60.3     56.2
   848x480        60.0
   640x480        59.9  の選択肢しかなかったから）
と思い、VGA１に試しに1600x1200を追加してみた結果、自PCのモニタの解像度設定にも
1600x1200の選択肢が出てきました。
ので、多分自PCにい接続されているディスプレイはVGA１の方だと思います。
もう一つの端子は、多分ですが、
父親も僕がxrandrで調べていたときにPCを使っていて
で、父PCと自PCはルーターでつながっていましたので
それが原因で端子が二つ出たのではないのかと思われます。

ちなみにxrog.confはありませんでした。
あと、すみません。マニュアル等は、
新しいPCを買ったときに、古いPC（ubuntu導入したやつ）の方はほぼ使わなくなって
捨ててしまいました。
かなり長くなってしまいました。申し訳ないです。

不思議ですね。ログを見る限りではやはりVGA1と、LVDS1にモニタがつながっていて、EDIDで解像度が検出されているように見えますが。。
ネットワークに他のPCがいるとかは影響することは無く、なにかドライバの動きがおかしいように思えます。

xrandrで解像度変更はできるようになったのでしょうか。
xrandrの解像度変更でとりあえず、目的が達成できるようであれば、それで事足りるかと思います。

もし、何か不都合があり、別の設定方法を試してみたいという場合は、EDIDで検出した解像度がまったくあてにできないっぽいので、xorg.confの作成を試すのが良いかと思います。

1. なにか変更した箇所があれば戻す(gdmの設定ファイルを変更されていますか?)。
2. xorg.confの作成

で/etc/X11/xorg.confを開き内容を下記とする。
